At Mundra Port, the company moves 15-20 panamax (container ships) and suezmax (oil tankers) size vessels every month, its depth makes it the only port capable of receiving firth generation container ships. The activities and planning are executed under the leadership of Mr. Gautam Adani and Mr. Rajesh Adani – the two Adani brothers who have been associated with the firm since the establishment.
With the visionary man, Mr. Gautam Adani and the confident person, Mr. Rajesh Adani, Mundra is capable of taking VCCS of 2,75,000 to 3,00,000 tonnes, predicts one of the renowned businessmen. If looked at the facts, Mundra has installed the first of its four single point mooring facilities (SPM) at a cost of Rs. 365 crore. This was installed with an intention to service IOC’s 6 million tonne crude imports. The facilities offered ensured that the crude imports would be transferred directly from the SPM to the oil major’s tank farm at Mundra. From this point, a crude pipeline is used to the transfer the oil ot the IOC’s existing Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline. It is now extended up to Panipat.
The credit for the growth of the Adani group is surely extended to Mr. Gautam Adani and Mr. Rajesh Adani for their utmost commitment and optimism.
